Wilson Caro el 12 de diciembre de 1990 en la ciudad de Medellín (Colombia) en el barrio Manrique uno de los barrios mas humildes y con mas conflicto humano de la ciudad, a pesar de sus problemas económicos, Wilson junto a su familia luchan por salir adelante y cumplir sus metas, a su corta edad Wilson siempre mostró dotes especiales con la música aprendiendo y practicando los ejercicios básicos en los instrumentos de cuerda y viento, dejando claro que la batería es su instrumento favorito, añadiendo que siempre se destaco escribiendo poemas y versos en los cuales mostraba gran sentimiento y habilidad. Fue cuando en el año 2000 escribe su primera canción en un genero mas romántico, llamada “Lloro” habla sobre la problemática que vive su familia, la guerra de su barrio y sus problemas económicos, es así como empieza su carrera artística, la cual no continuo ya que veía un camino difícil. Sin embargo en el año 2003 retoma su carrera musical, conformando un grupo en el cual tocaba la batería y luego en por influencia de los artistas Vanilla Ice, Nelly, DMX, Y el mas representativo Fred Durst empezó a escribir canciones con contenido mas polémico. En el año 2005 Wilson decide entrar en el género reggaeton donde encuentra una manera más compatible de expresar sus sentimientos. En el año 2008 saca un CD poco comercial, pero el cual muestra sus dotes, talento y cualidades titulado “El Comienzo”, como su nombre lo dice es el comienzo de su carrera y es cuando conforma el sello Alkatraz Internacional, sello del respetado artista Angel Urkijo quien ve en Wilson un artista luchador y prometedor. Wilson no se desempeño con un nombre artístico fijo hasta que en el año 2008 Angel Urkijo dio ideas y una de ellas fue Why basado en el dance hall, la cual era llamativo y original. Es así cuando decide tomar el nombre de Wilson Why siendo de los artistas mas jóvenes y destacados en su ciudad, es así como en el año 2009 junto a Angel Urkijo deciden salir de su país para mostrar su talento por todo Latinoamerica, empezando así su carrera internacional y mostrando que a sus 18 años a pesar de ser de los mas jóvenes es de los mas representativos de Colombia. __________________________________________________________ ENGLISH BIOGRAPHY: Wilson Caro was born on December 12, 1990 in the city of Medellin, Colombia. Roughing it in one of the humblest towns with the most human conflict in the city, Manrique, Wilson, along with his family, struggled to get ahead and fulfill his goals. At a young age, Wilson showed special gifts concerning music. He taught himself and practiced basic exercises with wind and string instruments, all the while realizing and leaving it clear that the drums were his favorite. Wilson also always stood out by writing poetry and verses in which he expressed his emotions and showed great abilities in writing. In 2000, he wrote his first song in a genre of a romantic nature, called "Lloro". In this song, he wrote of the hardships his family lived, the war within his hood, and his financial issues. This was when his artistic career flourished, one which he did not continue for a while, being that he saw this path as a difficult one. Nonetheless, in 2003, he decided to revert to his musical career path, creating a band in which he played drums. With inspiration from artists such as, Vanilla Ice, Nelly, DMX, and Fred Durst, he began creating songs that were more controversial that his previous ones. In 2005, Wilson decided to throw himself into the genre of reggaeton, where he felt his lyrical expressions were better shown. He then locally released his own recorded mixtape called, "El Comienzo", meaning "The beginning" where his talent could reach more people around him. The name and purpose of his CD could not have been more perfect. It definitely became "the beginning" of his career when he gained the seal of approval of Alkatraz International and well respected artist Angel Urkijo after having heard it. Angel Urkijo saw in Wilson, a struggling artist, much potential and promise and took him under his wing. Wilson did not create an artistic name that stuck until 2008 when Angel Urkijo threw out ideas and one of them was "Why" based on dance hall, which was catchy and original. Finally having decided to take the name "Wilson Why" as his artistic name Wilson, became one of the youngest and most prominent artist in the city of Medellin. In 2009, alongside Angel Urkijo, he decided to take his talent further. They decided to travel throughout South America to spread their talent and expand their audience, starting his new beginning as an international artist and proving that at 18, though young at age, he is a great representative artist from Colombia.
